The POOP Project seeks to cultivate audiences in new geographic markets, expand awareness of our programming in niche constituencies, and amplify our global message through original social media content.
We are currently seeking:
Driven, detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Manager to help expand our programming into new markets. 3-10 hours/week, can be done remotely.
Ambitious, smart Digital Designer and Content Manager to create clever, on-brand visuals that support our original content. 3-10 hours/week, can be done remotely.
The right candidates will be passionate about our mission, flexible, and eager to dive into the inner workings of a small social start-up. Interested in social change and movement building? Marketing and Communications Manager will:
Research and maintain database of potential markets for POOP project programming (Universities, conferences, high schools, early childhood centers, etc.).
Co-create and implement outreach strategy and materials; collaborate on copy and design.
Support content creation and organization for social media, website, emails, press releases, etc.
Perform preliminary outreach; emails, phone calls, and social media posts.
Maintain mailing list and provide copy support for monthly newsletter.
Familiarity with Squarespace, Wix and Mailchimp helpful.
Digital Designer and Content Manager will:
Co-create outreach strategy and poop-positive media for online distribution and digital download, including memes, posters, one-pagers. Video editing capability a plus.
Utilize existing brand guidelines to provide layout and graphic support for original content including curriculum, hand-outs, emails and newsletter.
Collaborate on regular website maintenance, improvements and updates.
Familiarity with Squarespace, Wix and Mailchimp preferable.
